About Us at the Running Revolution, Santa Cruz
You crawl to walk.
You walk to run.
You run to live.
We live to run.
Tim
Little did Tim know when he placed in the top five at the Soquel High Cross Country
Invitational that he would eventually be owner of a running store just down the
street. His passion for running spans from the University of Colorado XC team to
his travels around the US at 10K’s and marathons. With a 2:53 best, 4 Boston Marathons,
and the Ironman Wisconsin – Tim thrives on sharing his knowledge with others. He
has coached at Archibishop Mitty, and continues to coach adult runners in all distances
across the Bay Area.
Heidi
Beginning on the soccer fields of Denver, CO, running and fitness have always been
a part of Heidi’s life. It’s that passion and focus that led her to a degree in
Nutrition and Diatetics from the University of Northern Colorado, and then on to
the running mecca of Boulder. Not stopping there – Heidi has continued to excel
at all races, including 10K’s, three Boston Marathons, and numerous Triathlons.
She is always in demand at national and local running clinics for her expertise
in running, nutrition, and Trigger Point Systems.
Cilla
Cilla is the general manager for Run Rev and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
After a brief stint traveling and exploring the world, she landed back in the bay
area where she would gaze longingly at the Santa Cruz town outline. She and her
dog, Maggie, are privileged to be members of the Santa Cruz community. Cilla is
a marathoner, triathlete, adventure addict, and is training for her first Ironman.
Maggie continues to look at Cilla like she's crazy.
Bruce
Bruce joined the Running Revolution team in 2006 and is a graduate of San Diego
State. He is currently training to increase his speed and learning to avoid injuries.
Some things have become synonymous with running: Bill Bowerman's Tyrolean hat; Paula
Radcliffe's nose strip and head bob; and now, Bruce's green sport headphones. He
dreams of being the first runner sponsored by Diet Coke, iPod nano, Hang Ten, and
PING Golf.
Kalyne
My running career began by pushing my colicky baby in a jogging stroller 5 years
ago, and little did I know that I would fall in love with the sport and consider
it an integral part of my life. I have run 10Ks, half-marathons and marathons and
look forward to dotting my calendar each year with many more. I love being a part
of the amazing Santa Cruz running community and you can catch me on the trails at
Nisene Marks, Pogonip or Wilder almost any day of the week.
Laura
Laura, a Santa Cruz middle school teacher, has been competing in triathlon and running
events for the past five years. She has won two age group World Championship titles,
an Amateur European Championship Title, and an Amateur National Championship title
in Xterra Off-road Triathlon. Not only does she love to train and compete, but also
loves to get others excited about their first events. Her next big adventure ...
